The Delhi Police crime branch visited the residence of Delhi Minister Atishi on Sunday to issue a notice in connection with the Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) allegations that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) made attempts to poach seven AAP MLAs. At the time of the visit, Atishi was reportedly not present at her Mathura Road residence. This development follows a similar notice served to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal the previous day, where the crime branch officials sought a response within three days regarding Kejriwal's claims of BJP attempting to lure AAP MLAs.
AAP leader Jasmine Shah clarified that the notice, she said "Yesterday, a team of the Delhi Police crime branch came to the residence of CM Arvind Kejriwal. They wanted to give a notice. They waited for five hours before giving a notice to an official of the CM office... The notice does not include anything about an FIR, it is not a summon or a preliminary inquiry, and there is no mention of any section of the IPC or CrPC. This is just a letter on a white paper."
